HOT, HOT, HOT! It is August and I when you are reading this, I will be in New England with the hopes of enjoying some cooler weather! After a brief stint to my most favorite place in the world, I will be attending my first ever high school class reunion. Many years have gone by and although my husband and I were high school sweethearts, due to the nature of working in this industry, we have not been able to attend any class reunions. Therefore, I am not sure what to expect, but I am surely looking forward to this personal adventure!
The theme this month is orderliness. I used to think that I was one of the most organized people God created. However, although I am organized, I realized that I am not orderly. The creative side of me is constantly going but I have come to realize (from a very reliable source), that I needed to be “reeled back in” and change my business habits to be successful. Instead of planning year to year, I have learned that planning quarter to quarter is much more important. People can say this to you ten thousand times, but until you begin to implement positive business habits, you will struggle with making money and truly being successful. It is important to internalize the idea that you are in this industry because you want it to have a profession; not a hobby.
The Special Event Games are coming in September! I look forward to a fantastic turnout with teams! You might as well volunteer or jump on a team, otherwise we will begin hunting you down.
