WHAT?
Welcome to the first annual NEAWP Special Event Games! As event professionals we have the distinct pleasure of servicing our clients and catering to their every whim. We have had the opportunity to see some of the most unique, indescribable and quite frankly, tackiest things done at events. We truly are not able to express our opinions on certain things and therefore, we need to have an outlet do that! Welcome to the Fall Event Games! Partnering with Resurgence Fitness, we are going to pay reverence, mock and flat out enjoy the issues we run into each day of our lives. SIGN UP NOW!
WHY?
NEAWP understands that you have many commitments to various organizations and personal activities to attend. We feel you should attend this so that you will be able for once, to let your hair down and enjoy some healthy competition amongst your industry professionals. Do not worry. You do not have to be a stellar athlete or quite frankly, any athlete at all. You do not need to purchase $100 sneakers. You can participate in your Jimmy Choo’s if you would prefer. Anyone can participate in any of the activities! SIGN UP NOW!
WHO?
Anyone who is looking for a fun evening and support our charity Ignite the Dream to promote youth sports in Austin www.ignitethedream.com. You do not need to be a member of NEAWP. We are looking for teams to be created. Each team is encouraged to have a minimum of 5 participants. The cost per participant is $25.00 per person. Your fee will include dinner, listing on our website (many listings if you are winners), and a most desired event shirt. A business can sponsor a team (and you can go to the UT athletic department to create your team) or you can put a team together with a minimum of 5 of your best event professionals or you can rally 5 or more vendors from the same category (i.e. are the photographers stronger than the caterers?). Regardless of how you comprise your team, you might consider assessing their talents first. After all, awards are on the line. Why is the fee so much? Well, due to the well talked about vendor recession, things need to get paid for. If you have grown a fantastic money tree in your yard, then we look forward to getting to know you better. If you are not selected for a team AND you do not want to participate on a team, but want to be part of the event, RSVP on our website and pay your $25.00. Cheerleaders are always appreciated. SIGN UP NOW!
WHERE?
Delores Crum of Premiere Party Central has graciously offered the use of the Texas Star Events Center located at 11810 Manchaca Road Austin, Texas 78748 (www.texasstarevents.com - 512.292.3900). Yes, it is inside, so the only sweat you will have is what you exert. If you live north of the downtown area, you might want to pack a snack and extra beverages to make the trip. You are not doing this trip every day, so you can get your mental game going while you are driving to the facility. SIGN UP NOW!
WHEN?
This event will take place on Wednesday night, September 15, 2010 5:30pm-8:30pm. Why a Wednesday? NEAWP does most things on Wednesdays- hump day. You can block off your calendar and make it down south by 5:30pm. SIGN UP NOW!
HOW?
Kindly complete the form below. To be considered a real fledged team, you must pay your $25.00 PER TEAM MEMBER registration fee in full either by check or online by August 25, 2010. If you send your registration in after this date, a PITA fee of $5.00 per person will be applied. This fee will be applied to the late fees we will need to pay because the form was turned in late. Surely, you all can appreciate this as we expect our clients to do things on time. SIGN UP NOW!

EVENTS (Tentative schedule)
- Dress Dash Relay A team of 6 will gather for this event. Each member will be required to run to one cone, put on a wedding gown, return to starting point and pass to new runner.
- Reserved Seating The traditional game of musical chairs. Chairs will be set in a circle and the DJ will play music. One chair will be eliminated as a participant is eliminated. Everyone can participate.
- The Garter and Bouquet Toss A garter will be placed around a football. Each team will select 3 members to throw. The participant will throw the “garter” and try to hit the “bouquet” target. The team with the most hits wins.
- Bridal Obstacle Course Entire team will participate. A course will be set where one teammate will run the course and at each stopping point, they will need to get something done (i.e. manicure, pedicure, hair, makeup, massage) as the bride prepares for her stressful day while leaping over cones, punching bags, pushups, sit ups at various stations. The teams will be voted on the beauty of the bride by all attendees.
- Dance Off Here is a traditional dance off! The DJ will lead the group in all the wedding crowd participation dances. The judges will eliminate participants who can’t dance. Everyone can participate.
- Open Bar or Hosted Bar Teams of 4 will carry a bar to each station in this relay. At each station, another teammate will give them beverages and then pass the bar on. The first team to the finish line wins.
- Valet, Park My CAR The old fashioned wheel barrel race. Each team will have 6 participants who will “wheel to” their partners. The first team to get all three teams across the finish line wins.
- Bus it! Decorate a table with the items provided by Premiere Party Central – entire team participates
- Carry the Drunks Home This is the traditional three legged race. 6 team members participate. The first two teams to finish the walk and build a team pyramid wins.
- The Bride Said WHAT! This is the traditional game of Simon Suez. Everyone can participate.
- My Aunt made the cake Each team will have to move, assemble and decorate a wedding cake.
