| Previous Experience I have been with WOM since 1996 when I started as an intern. I then assisted one of the owners and have grown with the company. | |
| Funniest/weirdest/worst thing to ever happen at a wedding Funniest: served first course in courtyard, then moved tables + 120 guests indoors for main & dessert...huge storm passed through as just the right time. Weirdest: bride had dirty mouth during cake cutting...wanted to know where her +@*! forks were. we put them on a back table so the pictures would be pretty. my mistake. Worst: ran out of lamb chops at a Greek wedding. the wedding was on April Fools Day and it rained. Needless to say, many things went wrong for the couple that day. It taught me to make sure I visit with clients directly about food (I had no clue they were Greek) and to make sure client is happy with rain plan. Hard lesson to learn. It's been almost 10 years and it still gets me. | |
| Greatest Accomplishment My favorite thing is that there are two publications (one national and one local) who contact me as their 'expert' to verify others' information and give new, fresh, fun ideas on menus...it's such a pat on the back! | |
| Biography WOM, WOM, WOM! I grew up in Southwest Houston, moved north of Houston for last 2 years in HS, got to Austin as soon as I can. I have 2 beautiful (I think) boys and a wonderful husband. We share our love of entertaining as he is in the business as well. Our friends are considered a part of our family, and I LOVE to be outdoors. My family is from Louisiana, and I will have to say French Creole is my comfort food. Sorry if this is too much! |
