SafePlace is having a Baby! A “donation” baby that is...
More than half of the people living at SafePlace are children. As such, SafePlace needs to provide a variety of baby items on a daily basis (for example, an average of 3000 diapers per month!). Help us provide care to the littlest ones we serve and support to families who are making a better life for their children. Get together with a group of friends and host a baby shower for SafePlace or purchase an item through our registry. We hope to have a warehouse full of baby items by our "due date" of May 31, 2011. If you are making a purchase inside one of the stores, please be sure to mark your purchases on our registry and drop the item(s) off at the Gil Crane warehouse. Items you purchase from the SafePlace Baby Registry will directly impact families escaping sexual and domestic violence by allowing SafePlace to provide necessary care for children during a time of transition, which in turn allows both children and parents to focus on healing.
Charity for July/August/September 2011
Heal in Comfort (www.healincomfort.com)
Heal in Comfort is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women heal in comfort and dignity after surgery in their battle against breast cancer.
Starting in July through October we will be collecting monetary donations for this charity. We will be hosting a community evening event this fall (Sept/Oct)
to help raise awareness for this wonderful organization. Please contact Amanda Dudley if you are interested in donating your services or volunteering for this event.
